Why do stags leave it till the last minute?

Its hard wired into us - why do something now when we can put it off till another day. Hen weekends are booked well in advance - upto 18 months in advance to be honest, thats just preposterous if you are a bloke but a chick - well that’s different. But still back to the question in hand, stag party planning and last minute are not ideal, its just a logistics problem.
